Born in Romania, in the heart of Transilvania, Dr. Avram went to college in his hometown and graduated with a major in Biology and Chemistry. He received his dental degree at Iuliu-Hatieganu University, School of Dental Medicine, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During his training in Dental School, he met his wife Zheni who is an Internal Medicine physician with specialties in Geriatric Medicine and Obesity management. Together they have two children David and Erik who attend Henrico County public school.After moved to the US with his family in 2005, Dr. Avram completed his training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. While he is practicing dentistry in West End of Richmond, Virginia since 2010, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys many of the beautiful things Virginia has to offer such as hiking, biking, boating, hunting, and skiing. He is a volunteer with Wintergreen Ski Patrol, member of US Coast Guard Auxiliary, member of Goochland Rotary Club and a volunteer at Goochland Cares Free Clinic. He enjoys spending time with his family and helping local communities.

While going to the dentist is usually not something you enjoy but a necessity, i still enjoy my visits w/Doctor Avram as well as his staff. They are always friendly, courteous and professional. While seeing a dentist is a necessity, they make it a pleasant experience. I have been going to Dr. Avram since he opened his place and will continue to go as long as he and his staff will have me! :)

Dr. Avram’s practice is fantastic! It is highly organized with electronic notifications of pending visits and with minimal (< 2 minute) wait times.
